in
order to improve the educational standard and provide better learning environment
to the student’s of conflict-hit areas, the Political administration has accelerated
the pace of infrastructure development in Bajaur Agency by constructing and rehabilitating
four state-run schools in various areas of the agency. A total of 650 chairs,
tables, eighteen ceiling fans, twelve cupboards and other necessary furniture`s
have also been provided to these schools. According to Details a special
directives of PA Bajaur Abdul Jabbar Shah , these schools were rehabilitated
and fully equipped to ensure the students a better learning environment. The
authorities rehabilitated Government Girls Primary School (GGPS) in village
Malkana of Nawagai Tehsil. New classrooms, veranda and boundary walls were constructed
while forty desks, ten ceiling fans, chairs for teachers, cupboards and water
tanks were also provided to the school. Similarly, in Charmang valley, Government
Primary School (GPS) Nawa was also restored and equipped by providing students
desks, chairs and tables, cupboards, ceiling fans and other necessary
furniture’s. Construction of new class rooms, boundary wall and main gate was
also installed in the school. The political authorities have also rehabilitated
and equipped Government High school (GHS) Batwar in Salarzai Tehsil. The school
was renovated; white washed and fully electrified and has also been provided
with 500 student’s tablets chairs, cupboards and other necessary equipments. Additional
toilets and boundary wall was also constructed in the school. While in
Government Primary School (GPS) Mazdak, the rehabilitation work has been
completed and sixty student`s desks, chairs, cupboards, water coolers and wall
clocks were provided to facilitate the students and their teachers. This work
was carried out by hiring local skilled labors which provided job opportunities
to them at local level. The rehabilitation and renovation of these schools would
not only benefit hundreds of students and teachers in their respective areas
but would also increase the literacy rate in the agency. The tribal elders, students
and their teachers appreciated the political administration efforts for
improving the education standard in the agency.
