Woman committed suicide in Bajaur

A woman has committed suicide by eating poison in the Love gondo area of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur tribal agency on Friday, local of the area said.
Local said that a 35 year old woman Qimat Bib the wife of Said Akbar a resident of the area who was under depression for the last several days due the domestic problems committed suicide by eating poison tablets .
“Its possible she has committed suicide because she was looks un happy for the last several days due to the bad behavior of her family members,” Riaz Khan a close relative of Qimat Bibi told .
The local said that she was missing for the early morning of Friday and her body was found in her room after the several hour searches.
They said that a bottle of poison was also recovered from her room.
Resident of the area said that she was mother of the three children while her husband has been out of home for the last several months due his business activities.

Dabbar residents demand basic facilities

Residents were facing a lot of problems due to unavailability of basic health, education, communication and transport facilities in Dabbar area of Mamound tehsil in Bajuar Agency, said local tribesmen on Friday.
People of the area complained that their children were kept deprived of basic education because the area had no single high school for boys or girls.
\"The patients of the area are facing difficulties and often they die before reaching to hospital for treatment\" a local of the area said while talking about the lack of health facilities in the area. He added that the roads of the area were also in very bad conditions and transportation on the roads was also no less than a tragedy.
They also said that there was no proper system of communication in the area that\'s why the residents of area were not able to be in contact with their relatives in the main cities of Pakistan and foreign countries.
Thy demanded of the government and political administration,establishment of high schools, repairing the roads and availability of telephone facility to the people of the area.
Meanwhile, a 35 year old lady committed suicide by taking poisonous pills due to unknown reasons in Ghoundai area of Mamound tehsil on Friday, political administration said.

Night Curfew Lefted in Bajaur

The strife-torn Bajaur Agency is limping back to normalcy four years after the military mounted a massive operation against Taliban insurgents in the tribal region. As the first sign, security forces announced that night-time curfew imposed in May 2008 will be lifted from  (today).

“Since the security forces have restored law and order in the region, the curfew will be lifted on Saturday,” Brigadier Haidar, the sector commander (North) in Bajaur Agency, told the media on Friday. Now, business activities can continue late into the evening, he added.

“Transport facilities will also be available and everyone can move freely in the area,” Brig Haider said. The air of fear lingering for four years has disappeared, he added. “We’ve eliminated extremist elements and the writ of the government has been re-established in the area.”

Akhundzada Chitan, a federal lawmaker from Bajaur, tribal elders, social activists and local political leaders appreciated security forces’ efforts and said that after the lifting of the curfew, businesses would flourish and tribesmen would be able to fulfill their duties at night.

Two persons were killed as torrential rain cause flash floods in Bajaur.

Two persons were  killed while roads and other infrastructure were badly affected as torrential rain cause flash floods in barang and others areas of Bajaur tribal region on Wednesday .

An officials of the locals administration said that The flood swept away two persons including a woman in the different parts of the region .

“In the first incident the flood swept a waya25 year’s old man Habibullah of khar Nawai killi when he along with a group of friends were swimming in the river at sind salipati in the Barang area, local said  .

In  other incident a 42 years old  woman  was sweep away by floods  when  she was passing a  small  river in the laghari area  of Mamond  tehsil on Wednesday evening  while  her body  was  recovered  from the river.

 According to the locals several link roads, electricity and others basic facilities in tehsil Barang and others areas of the region have badly damaged due to the rains.

 “Supply of electricity and telephonic system has been suspended in the most parts of the region from Thursday morning while standing crop of maize and vegetables on thousand acres of land in the different areas badly affected due to rains and floods ,” locals said.

Tribal leaders have expressed mixed reaction over the announcement of local government system in FATA.

Tribal leaders have expressed mixed reaction over the announcement of local government system in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) by President Asif Ali Zardari.

 Talking to reporters  ,Member National Assembly from Bajaur Agency Akhunzada Chattan welcomed the decision and said that the announcement of introduction of local government system in tribal areas would boost political activities in Fata and improve standard of life of tribal people.

The introduction of LG system in Fata was a remarkable achievement of the people of tribal areas, he said and added that this system would bring the tribesmen into the mainstream of national life and their basic problems would be solved.

 Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Bajaur Agency president Rahat Yousaf said that the introduction of LG system in Fata was good news for the tribesmen, who had suffered a lot due to Frontier Crime Regulation.

 “The system would enable the people to make decisions locally about development of Fata,” he said.

 Mr Yousaf added that the system would discourage mismanagement and corruption in Fata, which remained a big problem in the entire tribal areas. He hoped that the extraordinary powers of political agent would be curtailed under the LG system and all decisions would now be made by the elected representatives. However, tribal elder Malik Fazal Khan rejected the local government system, saying “It is like old wine in new bottle because this system has already failed in the tribal areas.”

He said that only provision of fundamental rights could solve the basic problems of tribesmen. He said that the LG system, which would be implemented from next year in Fata, had already failed in the country. Former MNA and chief of Salarzai tribe Shahabuddin Khan also opposed the LG system and said that it would create law and order problems in tribal areas.

 Social worker Bahadar said the tribesmen had no interest in this system because they had already seen the efficacy of the Agency Council in 2004. “We want fundamental rights of tribesmen restored and extension of the Constitution of Pakistan to Fata,” he said.

 Local leaders of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Mambar khan  said that the LG system would benefit the tribesmen when the government would give them fundamental rights.

Hundreds of tribes elders of the different tribes pro government notable and members of the various peace committee were participated  the grand jirga while Assistant Political Agent Bajaur Agency, Jahangeer Azam wazir and others senior officials of the administration were attend the jirga .Law and order situation, status of the peace committees and development works in the region  were  also come under the discussion in the jirga . Addressing the jirga , Jahangeer Azam wazir said that the government was very committed for the providing of basic and modern facilities to the tribesmen living in the back words area and for the purpose Different kinds of mega projects would be starts very soon in the different localities of the region. “The administration was taking keen interest for the enhancing of life standards of the tribesmen, adding that more than sixty crore rupees has been spending in the Providing of basic and modern civic facilities in the area in which Khar would soon a modern city in the entire tribal  areas. He urged the elders to work in the larger interest of the region and continued efforts for keeping the peace and writ of the government in the their areas. “ Because ,peace ,stability and writ of the government were very necessary for the development and prosperity of the region ,” he added . He lauded the efforts of the tribal elders of maintaining writ of the government and peace in the area, “The Government was proud the sacrifices of the Khar Tribe in the elimination of militants in the region adding that the administration really appreciated the excellent performances by the tribesmen against the militants during the militancy,” Mr Wazir said
On the occasion Senior elders and leaders of the peace committees including Malik Rahat yusaf . Mufti Hanifullahj jan . Malik Abdu Rahim jan . Malik Mosood jan ,Malik Dilawar , Malik Hussain and others spook the jirga  .They assured the administration of its full support in maintaining writ of the government in the areas. They said that the khar tribe were united for keeping peace and writ of the government and said that more peace committees in the different areas would formed very soon. “We are committed to eliminate the militants in the area and hundreds of more volunteers would joined the peace committees,” they said .

 Tribal elders  and religious leaders of the different sub tribe of Utmankhail tribe of the agency Tuesday unconditionally agreed for extending their full support for the eradication polio disease form the region and warned of strict action would be taken those who could sabotage the anti polio drive in the area.This was made in a seminar organized by the local heath deportment with the collaboration of world health organization held at the far-flung area of Ghani Ada of Utmankhail sub division . Hundreds of tribal elders of the different sub tribes , Ulema and official of the local administration and health deportment were participated the seminar . Addressing the seminar, Agency surgeon Bajaur , Dr Jehan zeb dawr  said that Pakistan is among the three countries in the world where the polio disease become a serious threats to the lives of the children and as a result large number of population had been affected form the polio infection . He said that this disease not only suffering the lives of our children it is also badly affecting the country dignity in the international community Dr Jehan zeb Dewar said that no doubt the government is very concerned for the complete elimination of this virus from across the country and the government taking all possible efforts in the regards. “Polio disease is a National issue and the support of the community is very important because the government cant doing anything without the pubic cooperation,” He urged the elders and Ulema to extend their full support and ply active role for the early  eradication the agency  from the polio  . “There is nothing harmful in polio vaccine and its is the responsibility of the ulema , and  elders to eliminate  misconceptions about the vaccination,”, Agency surgeon said .
He claimed that the agency would be soon declared free from the polio because since April 2011, no positive case of the polio has been reported across the agency.

A jirga of the Mamond tribal elders have settled on Friday a 35 years –old enmity between the two-tribe elders of Mamond area of Bajaur agency. The enmity between the two tribal elders Malik Mohammad Gul and Malik Hai Gull said continued for more than three decades that had claimed lives of several people from both sides A jirga comprising elders from different tribes of the region that had formed by the local administration holding several meetings with both the rival groups. As a result of the great efforts, the jirga finally succeeded in its mission and the rival groups agreed to forgive each other and end the enmity forever,” a elder of the jirga told reporter . A ceremony in this connection was held at the residence of Chief of Mamond tribe Malik Sultan zeb khan at Larkhalzo area of Mamond tehsil on Friday in which hundreds of tribal elders of various sub tribes, leaders, members and volunteers of peace committees and qumi lashkar participated. On this occasion, the elders of both the rival tribes forgave each other and they took oath on holy Quran that in future they would live like brothers. Speaking at the ceremony chief of Mamond tribe Malik sultan zeb khan said that The local disputes and enmities had remained a hurdles of the development of the region because development need peace. “The disputes and enmities are one of the big problem in the way of developments and prosperities of the region because the area had been suffered from the conflicts,” He urged the tribesmen to resolve their conflicts through peaceful means because use of weapons was not the solution to any clashes. The senior tribal elders and members of the Mamond peace committees including Malik Taj Mohammad khan ,Malik Abdur-Rahman , Malik Noor Mohammed , Malik Abdul Khaliq , Malik Mir zameen khan and several others spoke at the jirga . The elders asked all the tribesmens to immediately resolve their conflicts through the jirga because the conflicts affect the law and order of the areas.

 Political Agent Bajaur Agency Sayed Abdul jabar Shah on Thursday has Urged the Salarzai tribesmen to full fill the collective responsibilities in their areas  And saying that strict  action would be taking against the tribal elders if any  militants  incident in the region could happen. This was said while addressing a grand jirga of slararzai tribes here at khar. The jirga which was called by the local administration were participated by hundreds of elders and senior leaders of peace committees belonging to the various sub tribes of Salarzai ,while The senior official of the security force and the administration including commandant Bajaur scouts Col Shakeel Janjua were also attend the jirga. The political agent said that the peace and writ of the government in the region had been restored as the efforts of the force and the elders but it has does not mean that the militants and their activities have eliminated in the region. “Restoration of peace not very difficult the main thing was its maintaining and the recent militants’ incidents have upset the law and order in the region,” he added. He said that the recent incident in the areas have badly upset the administration because the administration know that such activities could disturb the law and order of the region. He urged the tribesmen to realize the situation of the areas and should take bold steps for the prevention of militants’ activities in the region. “If these types of activities could not stop on time it can sabotage the peace and normalcy of the entire region,” he said. He asked the tribesmen to alert for facing any challenges in their areas because the militants did not wants normalcy, peace and prosperity in the region. He claimed that according to the credible information received to the administration that some persons of the Salarzai tribe cooperating with the militants and these people could involve in the recent attacked over the government properties. “The Salarzai tribesmen must immediately trace the elements involving in the militants activities and should hand over to the administration,” he told. He said that the administration was really disappointed by the event of the recent destruction of the School in the Salarzai area because the The school was situated very close to the house of the tribal elder, The owner of the school would responsible for the rebuild of the building and series action according to the collective responsibilities will be taken against the tribal elder if the school could not reconstruct within a month, He added . He warned the elders that if any public properties could attacked or any militants activities could happened in any areas of the region stick and serious action against the concern tribal elder would be taken ,their houses will be demolish and all the people of the area would be arrested . He said that the protection of the areas were the responsibilities of the tribesmen because the force cant deployed every spot in the areas.  Addressing the jirga the tribal elder including Malik Mohammad younas, Malik Ghullam Mohammad , Malik Hifazur-Rahman , Malik Anwar zeb khan and other said that the Salarzai tribesmen had always Supported the forces and had rendered hugs sacrifices for the elimination of militants from the areas and this was the reason of the efforts of the elders that the whole agency had been cleared from the militants. “the slararzai was the only areas had cleared from the militants without the force operation,” the elders said . They said hundreds of senior tribal elders had killed by militants and all the tribesmen faced huge problems but they never surrender to the militants. They said that the all the tribesmen of Salarzai were fully alert to encounter cross border militant attacks in their area, adding that several more peace committees in the borders areas have been established . They assured the authority that strict action against the elements could involve the recent militants would be taken very soon and all the family members of miscreants would be expel from the areas.

Talking to reporter here Jamaat-e-Islami ,Fata Ameer and ex member National Assembly ,Sahib zada Haroon-ur-Rasheed said that the government decision about the reopens the Nato supply route was absolutely wrong and against the country  sovereignty. “ The restoration of Nato supply route was not in the Favor of the country interest  it could put negative impact over the country situation,” he added Jamait-Ulma-Islam Bajaur Ameer and former MNA, Moulana Mohammad Sadiq has strongly condemned the government decision about the restoration of Nato supply routes and said that the decision will more damaged the country dignity because the US did not make official apology for the death of the soldiers killed in the Salala Attack. “The government should obey the parliament resolution Because the Nato supply was, suspended by the recommendation of parliament,” he said. Jamait-Ulma-Islam Bajaur General Secretary and ex senator  Moulana Abdur-Rasheed said that the restoration of Nato supply line have very  disappointed the people of the country and particularly  the tribesmen. He maintained that the allies and US were always busy in anti Pakistan activities and the Us conditional aid has badly destroyed the country’s economy. He said that The Government had claimed that the US drone attacks in the tribal areas would be stop but yet its does not stopped and hundreds of innocent tribesmen have been killed by the US drone attacks. JI Bajaur Moulna Wahid Gul  has said that the decision of the Nato supply line was totally against the country interest because it would put the country in more crisis. “Our party will never accept the decision because the resuming of the Nato supply routes was a result of the Pressure of the US,” he said .Pakistan Mulslim league N senior leader Mohammad yar Shahid  said the country honor and dignity had already damaged by the ruler wrong and pro Us foreign policies and the Restoration of the Nato supply routes would more destroyed the country sovereignty. “The restoration of Nato supply line without apology from the Us showed that the ruler has not interest with the country sovereignty, “ he said . Federal minister for SAFRON, Engineer Shukatullah khan his said on Saturday that federal government taking keen interest for the providing of basic facilities to the people of Federally Administered Tribal Areas and in this regards several mega projects would launch very son in the different areas of Fata . Addressing in the launching ceremony of Tribal Areas Rural to Urban Centres Conversion Initiative (TARUCCI here at khar. The federal minister said that the tribal areas had been ignored by all the government and this was the reason that the people of the areas facing a lot of problems . “Lack of basic needs and proper attention were the main reason of the backwardness of the tribal people,” he added. He said no doubt that in the past all the government had allocated huge amounts for the developments of the tribal areas but due to the lack of accurate check and balance, most funds had been misused. The federal minister said that the present federal government has not only increased the annual developments funds of the fata, also ensured transparency and standards in all developments schemes.“To ensure the check and balance of the development schemes special monitoring system has been introduced in Fata,” the minister claimed. He said that the government aims to use the funds only on merit adding that for this purpose all the schemes are deciding with the consultancy of the tribesmen. He said that most parts of the Fata especially Bajaur have been badly affected by the recent militancy and military operation and as a result majority of its people facing huge troubles. He said that the government very interested to provide basic needs and facilities to tribal areas like the urban cities of the country and said that the launching of mega projects would improve the life standards of tribesmen. The launching ceremony of the newly project was attend by a large number of tribal elders, traders , social and political workers while official of the local administration and officers of line deportments were also present in the event .Member National Assembly Syaid Akhoon zada Chattan , Secretary, Law & coordination and infrastructure Fata ,Captain (R) Munir Azam , project director, Tribal Areas Rural to Urban Centres Conversion Initiative (TARUCCI), Umar khan also spook the ceremony. Highlighting the purpose of the project, Umar khan said that the main purpose of the project was to provide urban facilities to the people the agency head quarter khar and its surrounding areas. “All the urban facilities enjoying others citizens of the major cities   will be provide to the people of khar through this project ,” he said .Umar khan  said  that initially $7 million funds have been allocated for the three years World Bank based project and if the program achieved its target it would extended to the others parts of Fata . He  said that the Tribal Areas Rural to Urban Centers Conversion Initiative (TARUCCI) was approved in 2010 for the tribal areas adding that the project was postponed due to the unsuitable law and order situation in the areas.

Unidentified militants blew up a government-running girls school in Bajaur

Unidentified militants blew up a government-running girls school in Mata Shah Area of tehsil Salarzai during the night between Thursday and Friday, local said.

Local of the area said that several armed men entered in the building of Government Girls Primary School and panted several explosive devices in the different parts of the School.

The local said that after the explosions they came out from their home and rushed to the spot where the blast was accrued.

“We instantly started fired on the spot where the explosion was took place adding that also a squad of volunteers immediately reached the school,  but the miscreants were escaped from the spot, another local told reporter .

 The local administration has confirmed the  incident and also stared investigation

An official of the local administration told reporter that that the building was complatelhy destroyed as result of many bombs exploded in the school building.

The administration has also launched search operation in the area and several local have been under the collective responsibility.

So for no one has claimed responsibility for the incident but the local alleged the miscreants for this happening.

It is to be mentioned here that Bajaur was on top of the list as far the destruction of educational institutions is concerned. According to the officials of the education department more than one hundreds government running school had been destroyed since 2006.

Four candidates including Shah wali khan , Sher Bahadar , Shah Naseer and Mohammadi shah were participated in the election while more than two thousands shop keepers poll their votes . Presidential election of Khar Traders association holding tomorrow,( Thursday) four candidates participating in the contest. Since 2005 before the militancy in the agency, this is the first
election of any traders association holding after the normalcy in the region. Four candidates including Malik Shah Wali khan , Haji Sher bahader , Haji Mohammadi shah and Naseer khan are contesting the election . The local administration has formed a six member’s election committee for the free fair and transparent poling. According the election committee more than three thousands shopkeepers will cast their votes while total four polling stations has been established adding that the poling will start from 8am and continued till 3 pm . In order to keeping  law and order situation during the poling in the
khar , security has beef up by the administration in the area .At least one hundreds more levies personnel would be deployed in the khar bazaar during the poling,” an official of the local administration told this scribe on Wednesday.

After his selection as a president of the alliance, Haji Said Badshah told the reporters that he would continue his efforts for the improvement of political activities in the agency “My aims are to enhance the positive political activities and to develop friendly   Working Relationship among the all political parties in the agency,” he added. He said that goal and objectives of the alliance was to bring positive changes in the current tribal system according to the wishes of the common tribesmen. “The changes in the FCR and tribal system was nothing because the common tribesmen still facing huge problems by the local administration,” he told. He said until the fundamental human rights could not extended to the fata the basics problems of the Tribesmen would  not  Solved.

Seventeen Militants surrendered in Bajaur

Seventeen Militants surrendered unconditionally to the security force Charmang area of tehsil Nawagi on Thursday. In this connection, a ceremony was held  at charming area of tehsil Nawagi  which was attended by senior official of the administration and the security forces. A large number of tribal elders and members of several peace committees were also participated the ceremony. On this occasion, the militants toke oath on holey Quran, saying that in future  they will live as a peace full citizen in the area, “We will never participate any of anti state activities, nor be part of any militants group working against the country,” they added.  The Pak army official Lt conol Sohill has produced the surrender militants to the media. Talking to reporter the militants said that the militant’s commander had misguided them “they had told us the activities against the forces and the local was a part of jihad,” they added. Talking to reporters Lt conol Sohill said that as a result of the successful operation by the security forces in the area, Charming valley has been cleared from the militants. “Militants in the whole area has been eliminated and now there is no threats from the militants sides ,” he told . About the rule  of peace committees in the area .he said that the peace committees and Qumi laskhar are fully alert in the different parts of the areas and the forces appreciating the efforts and cooperation of the local elders .

Tribal elders and workers of different political parties in Bajaur  have welcomed the supreme court decision about the disqualification of the prime minister Yusuf Raza gilani .Talking to reporter here at khar, Jumat-e-Islami Bajaur general secretary Qari Abdul majeed   said that the supreme court Tuesday order about the disqualification of Yousaf Raza gilani was fair and according to the constitution, “ the decision about the disqualification of the Country  chief executive showed that the judiciary in the country independent and unbiased,” He added . Senior Tribal elder and Chief of Umari Mamound ,Haji Sultan Khan said  the  Supreme Court yesterday order of disqualification of PM Gilani was the voice of every democratic person of the country and the Supreme Court have wan the heart of tribesmen.

“This would better for him if he obeyed the court order before the Tuesday disqualification order against him,” He told.

Senior Leader of PTI Bajaur chapter Mambar khan said that the disqualification of the Yousaf Raza gilani was the victory of every democratic person particularly for the PTI.

“The decision showed that all the citizen of the country should obey the rule of law and no one above from the law,” He said.

Bajaur Contractors Association have strongly condemned over the closing of Japan Aid development project in the agency and warned of protest moment and hunger strike if the project would not resume immediately. Talking to reporters here at khar on Friday, President Bajaur Contractors Association, Haji Sheer ghazan khan said that the closing of Japan based project is a huge losses for the agency and it would affect the running schemes in the region. He said that the purpose of the project was to work in the education sectors and several building of the damaged schools in the different areas of the agency constructed through the project. Other members of the contractors Association including, Haji Rahat ,Lal bacha , Abdul Ghafar and Yousaf khan were also spook. They alleged that the official of the Fata Secretariat were responsible for the closing of the project because they were involved in the miss using the funds of the project. They claimed that they have all the evidence of the misusing of the funds who were misused its. They said that the closing of the project would not only suffered the ongoing schemes it has also affected the local contractors, “We have invested million of rupees in the several developments works of the project but yet we have not received our charges,”they said. They demanded the Governor KPK and other official to take notice of the closing of the project and requested of early payment of their charges. They warned if their payments of bill could not provide within week they will launched protest against the official Fata secretariat and added that they will also set a hunger strike camp in the front of Fata secretariat Peshawar.

Addressing at the Passing out parade ceremony of newly passed out recruits of Bajaur Levies force here at Khar, he said the administration Is committed to improve the efficiency of levies force, because the levies forces are the backbone of the civil administration.Appreciating the efforts of levies force in the war on terror, he said that the tribesmen of the agency had admitted the jobs of the levies personnel against the militants, “we are proved of the efforts of levies force who had brilliantly performed their duties as the frontline force against the militants,” he added.He said that the government and the tribesmen would never forget the Bravery and courage of the levies personnel who have given sacrifices of their lives for the security of the country.  SPARC’s Child Rights committee Bajaur Tuesday expressed concerned over the increasing of child labor in the tribal areas and urged the government to take effective steps for the eradication of child labor in Fata. Addressing a press conference on the occasion of “world day against child labor,” here at khar, SPARC’s Child rights Committee Bajaur coordinator Izharul haq said that Bajaur among those areas where child labor has been very  increased in the past several  years. “Militancy, operation against militants, uncertainty, bad law and order situation, unemployment and poor economical condition were the main reasons of increasing the child labor in the agency,” he added. He said that because of multiple causes the child labor in the agency has broken its record, “According to survey conducted by SPARC more than 50 percent child labor has been increased in the different parts of the agency in the past five years,” he told. He said that Huge number of under age children are working in the most dangers sectors of labor in the region and due to this they have been deprived from education which was their basic rights. SPARC’Child right Committe Bajaur senior members , Hanifullahjan , Shahid habib and others were also spook on the occasion . “Due to lack of awareness, the children are working in very poor circumstances and as a result, they are facing with different diseases,” They added .                                                  They  said that increasing of child labor in the agency was a series threats to the lives of the children because so for no step has been taken by the government. They asked the federal government to immediately extended its policy of curbing the child labor to the Tribal areas, “ because Tribal areas also a part of the country and its children are the citizen of the country,” they said .They  urged the government to also declared education compulsory for the Fata as the government had already decleared education as a fundamental right of every individual under the Article 25-A of the constitution . “If the government did not toke serious steps for the providing of basic education to the children, the child labor would be more increased in the agency,” They warned.  They demanded the government to increasing the minimum age of employment under the employment of Children Act 1991 from 14 to 16 years there by allowing children to avail their fundamental right to free and compulsory education.

The program was participated by a large number of youth hailing from different parts of the agency. On the opening, chairman CEDO mian ikram ullah welcomed all the participants and highlighted the main objective of the program, as to create opportunities for youths of bajaur agency to become self-reliant and contributing members of the society. This intervation will provide a platform for the youths, especially for the poor and socially excluded ones to reintegrate into society as active citizen and not as citizens in waiting. Taking to reporter her at khar on Monday President Bajaur sports Association  Nazir gull nadan  along with  Several heads of local  sports organization  condemned the suspension the service of PTV booster and said that due to the closing of the booster large numbers of people  have been deprived from  the watching of Cricket and others games .

He said that the booster was established with huge amount to facilitate the local fom  Ptv broadcastingbut “but unfortunately The booster have been remained closed for the last several years,” he added.

All Tribal contractors Association Fata have strongly condemned the imposition of 20% cut on the annual Maintenance & Repairing funds in Fata, and warned if the decision would not review immediately, tribal contractors will boycott from all the developments works in Fata. Taking to reporter here at khar on Sunday, President All Tribal contractors Association Fata ,Haji Zahir jan said that his Association strongly condemned the Fata secretariat decision  about the imposition of 20% cut on Maintenance and Repairing(M&R) works in  tribal areas.“We would never accept the decision because it’s totally against the Fata,” he added. He said that decision would badly suffer the works of repairing and maintenance of public installation across the tribal areas that have roughly affected from the militancy and the military operation. He blamed on the official of the Fata secretariat for not taking interest in the development of tribal areas, and said that so for very little amount of the funds allocated for the works of Maintenance and referring have been released to the agencies. “Only 30 percent amount of the funds allocated   in 2011-12 budgets for the annual Repairing works released, and the released funds have been spent for the furnishing of Fata secretariat and Fata colony Peshawar,” he added. He asked the Governor KPK and official of the ministry of State and frontier regions  to take series notice over the imposition of cut on the developments funds allocated for tribal areas. He warned the tribal contractors would not only boycott from the government schemes also launched protests all over the tribal regions if the decision will not take back soon.

Taking to reporters  , Chief of Salarzai Tribe and ex Member National Assembly Shahbuddin khan has said that recent federal budget was completely anti public because, no relief was given to the common
person in the budget. Criticizing the funds allocated for tribal areas he said that Fata
have ten million of population and the recent funds allocated in the budget for Fata absolutely insufficient ,”  the recent funds allocated for Fata like joke with the tribal people because majority of Tribal areas badly affected by the militancy and military operation,”. He added

added  that the 20% increasing in the salaries could not solve the financial problems
of government employees. He  urged that the salaries of the government employees should be
immediately increased up to 50%. Secretary general Jumata-Islami Bajaur agency ,Qari Abdul majeed has rejected the budget , saying it had no relief to the common man of the country suffering from the price hike .“It was totally anti public budget from the anti common men party adding the budget has badly disappointed the public who already suffered from the government wrong policies,” He added.
Chief organizer Pakistan Tahereek Insaf Bajaur agency, Mumbar khan declared the federal budget anti common man and said that  no good news and relief in the budget for the welfare of poor people of the
country . “It was a budget for Privileges class because  nothing special for the country  common man ,”.He added.  He demanded special development packages for the development of tribal
areas and establishing small industries in Fata.

Tribal jarga have settled a twenty years old enmity between the two tribe of Salarzai area of Bajaur on Sunday.

The enmity between the major tribes of Salarzia tribe, Swatian and Roghnin was continuing for the last twenty years, that claimed at least fifteen lives from both the side injured several.

In order to settled, the dispute between  the two tribe  the administration have formed a jarga of the tribal elders of the various sub tribe of the region.

As the result of several meeting with both the parties’ jarga, finally succeed in his mission and the rival groups agreed on the settlement of their enmity.

In this connection a ceremony was held at pashat area of Salarazi  tehsil  on Sunday   in which hundreds of tribal elders , members of peace committees and a large number of volunteers of Salarzai qumi laskhar were participated.

 On this occasion elders of both the rival tribe group forgive each other, took oath on holy Quran, and said that, they will live like brothers in future.

Addressing the ceremony, Chief of Salarzai and ex MNA Sahahabuddin khan said that local disputes and enmities badly affecting peace in the region..

He urged the tribesmen to resolve their difference through dialogues and talks because use of weapons is not the solution of any Conflict.

Notable tribal elders and member peace committees including  , Malik Nasar khan , Malik Musafar khan .,Malik Nizamudddin khan , Malik Adul hakeem khan , Malik Sher zamin khan , Malik Ziarat gul , Malik Bakhat bidar khan , Malik Mohammad yar khan , Malik Hifzoor khan and several others spook the ceremony.

They urged the tribesmen to forgive their personal disputes and work for the durable peace and prosperity of the region, “no one would be allowed to disturb pace in the area and if anyone found in personal enmity strict action would be taken against them,” the elders warned

 Unidentified miscreants blew up another high power Transmission line in Jar area of Bajaur tribal region on early morning of Saturday as a result electricity disrupted to the whole agency, local said. Local sources said that at least ten armed men set huge quantities of explosives along the tower of 66,000 KV high power transmission line near the Jar area 20 km from khar the agency head quarter. The explosive devices went off with huge blast, which resulted in complete destruction of the tower, the blast was heard in the faraway areas,” Nasar khan a local resident of the area told this scribe on Saturday. After the blast the levies forces started fired on the spot where the blast was occurred but the attacker escaped safely,”  .Jamal khan local resident said The local administration have conformed the incident, an official of the local administration told reporter that the administration has started investigation the destruction of high power transmission tower. The recent explosion of high power transmission tower was a matter of concerned for the administration because that was a second incident of tower destruction in a week,” the official added. The official said that the administration has decided to beep the security of the high power transmission tower a cross the agency and for this purposed more levies forces will be deployed in the sites where the high power transmission were situated. Meanwhile the local administration has launched search operation in the jar and its Surrounding areas and arrested twenty persons. An official of the Tesco told that a technical team has been called for repairing the tower and said that the power supply in the agency would restored very soon . While the Local people faced huge problems following suspension of electricity in the Agency and  no group claimed responsibility for the destruction of transmission line This was the second destruction of high power transmission line in a week in the region .

“To ensure immediately restoration of power supply to the agency, the damaged tower has been repaired on temporarily base ” an official of the Tesco told this correspondent. He said the Tesco Technical team is busy on the repairing of the tower and the full rehabilitation of the line will be complete very soon . The local said that supplied of electricity in their area was restored on Monday morning. “We can’t believed that the supply of power could be restored so quickly because in the past repairing of the transmission line damaged by explosion had taken more than a week,”  Zahid khan a resident of khar told this scribe .
Mean while the local administration has enhanced the security of public installation particularly the high power transmission lines in the region. “In order to improve the security of electricity tower more
levies forces has been deployed along with high power transmission towers,” a local official told reporter on Monday.

miscreants blew up a high power transmission line in Bajaur Tribal region

Unidentified miscreants blew up a high power transmission line in Yusuf abad area of Bajaur agency on the night between Saturday and Sunday as a result electricity completely suspended to the whole region.

Official of the local administration said that a group of armed persons planted explosives along the tower of 66thousand KV high power t transmission line near the Yusuf abad area 4km from khar.

The explosives went off with huge blast causing complete destroyed the tower of Transmission line.

Local said that they were sleeping and awaked by the bomb blast that was heard with six km of the area.

The local said that The electricity in the whole agency instantly suspended soon after the blast and  forces have started firing on the site where explosion was happened ,”.Soon after the blast heavy firing heard from the levies post  but  the miscreants were escaped safely,” Naik Amal khan a local told this scribe . An official  of the Tesco said that the Tower and the transmission line   was completely destroyed and  due which  the power supply in the agency would be suspended next two days .

The official said that a technical team of Tesco has been called from Peshawar but yet not started the works .The local people faced huge problems as the suspended of electricity in the agency , most parts of the areas facing lack of water .

So for no group have claimed responsibility of the destruction of transmission line but  to the  local  people  believed   that  militants could  be responsible for that  explosion .

 Mean while the local administration has launched search operation in Yusuf abad and its surrounding areas and several persons have been arrested.

“So for The administration have arrested 25 suspected  persons in the search operation started last night till Sunday evening,   Adding  Local residents and some wanted persons   among the detained, Haseeb  khan , Political tehsilar khar told reporter

Four State-run schools rehabilitated and equipped in Bajaur Agency.

in order to improve the educational standard and provide better learning environment to the student’s of conflict-hit areas, the Political administration has accelerated the pace of infrastructure development in Bajaur Agency by constructing and rehabilitating four state-run schools in various areas of the agency. A total of 650 chairs, tables, eighteen ceiling fans, twelve cupboards and other necessary furniture`s have also been provided to these schools. According to Details a special directives of PA Bajaur Abdul Jabbar Shah , these schools were rehabilitated and fully equipped to ensure the students a better learning environment. The authorities rehabilitated Government Girls Primary School (GGPS) in village Malkana of Nawagai Tehsil. New classrooms, veranda and boundary walls were constructed while forty desks, ten ceiling fans, chairs for teachers, cupboards and water tanks were also provided to the school. Similarly, in Charmang valley, Government Primary School (GPS) Nawa was also restored and equipped by providing students desks, chairs and tables, cupboards, ceiling fans and other necessary furniture’s. Construction of new class rooms, boundary wall and main gate was also installed in the school. The political authorities have also rehabilitated and equipped Government High school (GHS) Batwar in Salarzai Tehsil. The school was renovated; white washed and fully electrified and has also been provided with 500 student’s tablets chairs, cupboards and other necessary equipments. Additional toilets and boundary wall was also constructed in the school. While in Government Primary School (GPS) Mazdak, the rehabilitation work has been completed and sixty student`s desks, chairs, cupboards, water coolers and wall clocks were provided to facilitate the students and their teachers. This work was carried out by hiring local skilled labors which provided job opportunities to them at local level. The rehabilitation and renovation of these schools would not only benefit hundreds of students and teachers in their respective areas but would also increase the literacy rate in the agency. The tribal elders, students and their teachers appreciated the political administration efforts for improving the education standard in the agency.

Bajaur levies force Saturday arrested a female health official in the Silai Pati area of Tehsil barang   in the connection with stolen of huge quantities of food items, provided by world food program to the local hospital, source said.
Local people said that the lives forces in the far-flung area of Tehsil barang have arrested a female health official in the charge of carrying food items to her home from the local hospital.
The  levies official have conformed the incident .
 “We have received information that a lady health visitor in her Vehicle are carrying a huge quantities of public food items from hospital to her home adding when the car reached the check post the levies have arrested her with huge quantities of food items,” Subidar Sheer Bahdar khan in charge of Sali pati levies post told reporter on Saturday
But soon after the telephonic call from  the high ups of the administration she was released without any bill while the goods recovered from her has been shifted to the  safe place , the sources added .
An official of the local administration told this scribe  that case against the accused in the local post has been registered while she was released in the request of local elders .
“The case in not yet closed against here and the administration has issued order of series action against her,”. The official added.
Mean while an official of the local health deportment told this scribe that the accused female health official Ms Razi bibi  was immediately suspended from her post because she also involved in several  illegal activities in the past several months .

BAJAUR AGENCY:  The security forces   on Tuesday destroyed   houses of four alleged Militants in Tehsil  Chamarkand of Bajaur Tribal region , weapons and arms were also recovered during the search operation , sources of the security force said .

 Sources said the local administration and the security forces have launched a joint

 Action in the different border area of tehsil chamarkand  ,

 “The action in these area were launched with the help of local tribesmen in which four house of

 the militants involved in the several militants activities have been destroyed  ,”An official of the security forces told reporter .

 Sources said that these militants were also  involved  in the killing  of  pro

 government  elders  some weeks ago .The alleged militants   have vacated their  houses  and  they had been gone underground , the source said  Huge quantities of different weapons and explosives materials Were also seized during the search operation.

Bajaur agency: Salarazi Tribesmen in Bajaur Tribal region Sunday  have assured full support  the local administration and the security forces about constitution of more peace committees in the border areas and deployment of more volunteers on the posts in the sensitive spots bordering Afghanistan

 and saying that no one would be allowed to accommodate foreigner in the area and warned if anyone will found in the militant activities, stick action would be taken against them .The assurance was mad by the elders of Salarazi Tribe during a grand jarga  held at the Raghan  area of tehsil Salarazi..

 More than six hundreds of senior elders belonging to the different sub tribes of the Salarazi tribe attended  the jarga in which current law and order situation and other matters related to the area were discussed.Addressing the jarga the tribal elders including Malik Mohammad yunas , Malik Abdul hakim

 khan ,Malik Anwar zeb khan ,Malik Mohammad yar khan , Malik Hafizur-Rahman khan , Malik Abdul Salam and others  assured their full support to the administration in maintaining the law and order in

 the area and to keeping writ of the government . They said that the people of Salarazi were peace loving and patriotic and their loyalty with mother land was beyond any doubt, “The salarzai tribe always supported the government and it is only tribe in the entire agency which bravely fought

 against the Taliban since 2008 and never surrender to the militants . The elders lauded the efforts of the Salarazi tribesmen for keeping law and order in the area said that fighting with militants was not easy  job, “We fought against the militants who were more power full and strong then us only for a cause and it was to abolished Militancy from the root and to restored peace and stability in the region,” they added that they have succeed  in their mission. The elders said that they will continued their efforts against the militants in the area ,“Taliban  are the worst enemies of our region , people , development ,culture , Tradition , civilization , peace and prosperity and added that they will never forgiven their enemies . They said that the Salarzi tribesmen are committed and united against the militants and

 as result of their efforts militants activities has been reduced in border areas. “No one will

 be allowed   to disturbed the law and order situation in the area  and if anyone involved to accommodate militants in the area The elders said that they have decided to take stick action against those who supporting militants, Any  unknown person will be allowed to stay in the area,

 if a  local found for stayed the  militants  in his  home,  serious action would be taken against him , his

 house will be burnet ,  all members of his family  will be expelled from the area and also to pay amount of one million as a fine  .  In the jarga completely Ban was also imposed

 on all kind of firing in the entire Salarazi tehisl. On this occasion the jarga burned the house of a person involved in the killing of  local and also taken from him amount of   rupees one million as a fine.

BAJAUR AGENCY: Assistant Political agent Bajaur agency Jahangir azam ,Tuesday  has urged the tribesmen to support for the eradication polio form the region and warned of serious action would be taken who could refused anti polio vaccination in their children .
This was said in seminar organized by the local health deportment here at khar, in which elders, Ulama of the different area of the agency and health official were participated .
Assistant political agent said that the administration is taking keen interest for the eradication of polio from the agency and the for this purpose administration making all efforts for the complete eradication of this virus ..
 “Polo is among the most danger disease in our country and a large number of children suffered every year from this infection,” he added.
He said that polio is not only suffering our children but also affecting our national integrity in the international community because Pakistan among the tree country where this disease is still serious threats to human life.
He asked the elders and ulma to extend their full support to vaccination team in their respective areas and added that elders and ulema are the most influential figures  and only they can spread awareness among the people about the anti polio vaccination to protect their children from the disease .
He said that the administration has decided that serious action would be taken according to the tribal tradition against those who could found to disturb the polio vaccinations drive in the agency
He also advised the health staff to communicate with the elders and ulema .
On this occasion the elders and ulema assured full support the administration in the anti polio drive and said that they have always supports anti polio campaign because “polio disease effecting our own children and no one be allowed to sabotage the polio vaccination in the agency, they added .

BAJAUR AGENCY: 

The local  Administration  Monday  restored the  cellular phone  Service  in Bajaur Tribal region, after the May 4th  suicide bomb blast in khar ,an official of the local administration said .

“In an attempt to hold law and order situation in the region, the administration had suspended cellular services after the deadly suicide attack in khar on May4,” an official of the administration told  on Monday.The local authority has restored the mobile phone service in the region  as the directives of high officials and said that they have also took serious action over the suspension of Mobile phone service in the area, sources of the administration told.Sources said that mobile phone service has been restored in the whole region and now the people enjoining the cellular facilities in the agency.However, residents of Tehsil Mamound said that service was not fully restored yet “Several areas are still out of courage of mobile phone service and as a result people facing problems in communication with relatives living in the different cities of the country,” Local said to reporter. Tribesmen of various areas of tehsil Mamond and Slarazi demanded the administration for immediately restoration of mobile service in their area, “ Mobile phone were never used  in the miscreants activities because  those who doing militants activities they Used their own communication system (Wakitaki). The mobile phone traders in khar said that the selling of mobile phone has been increased as the mobile phone service restored in the agency and said that all the mobile phone shops have reopened in the area.

BAJAUR AGENCY: Leaders of All Bajaur Political Parties alliance (Bajaur siasi Ittehad)  have welcomed the resolution adopted by the KpK Assembly about the urging the federal government for giving representation to the tribal people in provincial assembly and extension of judiciary and basic rights to fata and added that if the government did not granted equal citizen rights to tribesmen they will launch protest movement in the favour of their demands.  appreciated the resolution adopted by the KPK Assembly and said that resolution was a good and historical step towards the salutation of problems and providing basic rights to the

 Fata is the part of the country but unfortunately the rulers have deprived tribesmen from the constitutional and fundamental rights as result Millions of tribesmen facing multiple problems and hurdles. “Being a Pakistani citizen, extensions of judiciary and access to fundamental rights are

 our basic rights and the federal government should immediately approve the resolution adapted by KPK Assembly,” they added. The said that tribesmen are the most loyal and peace living citizen of the country who always played vital role for the interest of the country but they have been ignored by the

 all rulers of the country. The elders said that  the representation in KPK assembly and given the fundamental rights would reduce the problems of tribesmen and added that they would also have access to the country high judiciary for seeking justice. Talking about the fata reforms, they said that the reforms was absolutely joke with the tribesmen  because the reforms was insufficient and did not meet the wishes of the people of tribal area, “  Bajaur siasi Ittehad  have  already rejected these reforms and

 we want complete abolished of the FCR ,” they said . They said  that government should carrying the wishes of the tribesmen and immediately approved the resolution passed by the KPK  assembly about the fata and said if the government did not took the resolution seriously  then they will launched

 agitation in the entire tribal  area.

Appreciation Of Agriculture Department By The Elders

“World food Program and Agriculture Department is doing wonderful effort for the uplift of farmers of Bajaur agency” this was told by elders namely Malik Taswoor Khan, Malik Fazal hayan, Malik Khaista Rehman, sultan Zeb Salar and others of Bajaur agency from all tehsils in a news briefing. They further added that Agriculture department Bajaur agency in the leadership of Agency Agriculture Officer Bajaur Mr. Rehmat Ud din is doing a good job in providing relief and opportunities to farmers of Bajaur agency in the rehabilitation of farming in the agency through world food program Food for Work program which was started in   2009 but in the start of the program the criteria for this program was violated and only influential people who are usually not farmers were entertained but with the appointment of Mr. Rehmat Ud Din as Agency Agriculture officer and Mr. Ibrar as focal person of the program the whole scenario of the project has changed and now food is being given to actual farmers and activities being performed. All of the elders said that there is a lot of potential in the agency in context of Food for Work but farmers were to be given right direction and that has been done by the said officers.

Tribal elders also added that before the posting of the said officer agriculture department on whole was on decline its nurseries and farmers services centers were on the downstream but they have given a new life to all of the agriculture department and now farmers of the area are have got a new vision and they are hopeful that they will be facilitated more though, the said officers have done more than their efforts for the uplift of the farmers. “Bajaur agency has got potential for food for work activities and we are hopeful that within the specified period of the program all the problems of the farmers will be solved” they added.
