Orientation session on youth social entrepreneurship in
bajaur agency by cedo in collaboration with yes network Pakistan. In order to
explore the hidden potential of the youth of bajaur agency and be prepared to
play a positive role in development, community empowerment and development organization
(CEDO) organized one day orientation session on social entrepreneurship held in
khar bajaur in collaboration with youth engagement services network Pakistan (yes).
The program was participated by a large number of youth hailing from different
parts of the agency. On the opening, chairman CEDO mian ikram ullah welcomed
all the participants and highlighted the main objective of the program, as to
create opportunities for youths of bajaur agency to become self-reliant and
contributing members of the society. This intervation will provide a platform
for the youths, especially for the poor and socially excluded ones to
reintegrate into society as active citizen and not as citizens in waiting. He
further added that youths are the most promising resources available to us in
developing new social structure and meeting the high service need of our
communities. Later on, Mr. Hafiz Javeed, representation of YES network Pakistan
in his presentation stated that YES Network Pakistan is playing a leadership
role in promoting the agenda of youth service and social entrepreneurship among
public, private organization as well as educational institutions. YES Network
Pakistan in partnership with CEDO is developing a comprehensive plan to create
awareness about the concept of youth social entrepreneurship and youth service
among the citizen sector,business and academic audiences in bajaur agency and
other agencies in fata as well. This
joint venture will strengthen small-sized and medium-sized youth-led social
enterprises for the spread of social innovation locally in order to support the
conflict ridden economy of the area. YES Network Pakistan will also impart
training and engage youths and youth serving institutions in designing,
implementation of youth-led service projects and will extend financial
assistance as well.
