Infrastructure development schemes completed in Bajaur Agency.

In order to improve the living conditions of tribal people and provide good transportation facilities to the traders, shop keepers and general communities, the Political Administration has successfully completed the pavement of Pashat and Khar Bazars in Bajaur Agency. Another street pavement scheme has also been completed in village Bar Kalan in Mamund Tehsil. According to Details the street’s of Pashat and Khar Bazar were in dilapidated conditions. During the rainy seasons the traders, shop keepers and the passengers at bus ada were facing great hardships in movement. Therefore, the political administration on priority basis initiated the streets pavement program and paved 1650-meter long plain concrete streets along with construction of 1650-meters long drains system in Pashat Bazar. Similarly, In Khar Bazar a 76-meter long and 40-meter wide Bus ada have been paved. For proper sanitation system a 61-meter long sanitation drains has been constructed. Moreover, 60 meters long fiber glass shade has also been fixed to protect the shopkeepers from hot wheatear. Meanwhile, In Bar Kalan village of Tehsil Mamund, 2134-meters long residential streets have been paved and 915-meter long side drains system has been constructed. To prevent it from any damages 152-meter long retaining wall has also been constructed in the area. The development work is part of the Government’s pledged to provide basic amenities to the tribal communities. These schemes would not only provide better transportation and sanitation facilities to the traders and shop keepers but would also enhance the socio-economic condition of the area. This will benefit more than 16500 tribal people and traders in the agency
