Tribal elders, Ulema . Political and social leaders of the

different area of the agency Friday agreed for extending their full support for the eradication polio from the region and warned  of    stick action would be taken those who could disturbed

the anti polio drive in the area . This was made in a seminar organized by National Research and Development Foundation with the collaboration of world health organization and local health deportment here at khar. Dozens of Tribal elders, Ulema from the different tribe, Senor local

political, social leaders and official of local administration and health deportment

were participated the seminar.

Addressing the seminar Political agent Bajaur Agency, Islam zeb said that Pakistan is

among  the three countries in the world where large number of children suffering every  year from the polio virus . He said that polio is become a serious challenge for the government

because this disease affecting country dignity and therefore the government is struggling for the early eradication of this disease from the country. He   asked the elders   ulema   and politician to extended their support and ply active role for the eradication of polio in the region, “because   government can’t doing   anything without the public supports and cooperation,” he added.

 Speaking  on the occasion Agency Surgeon, Dr Jehan zeb  dawar , and NRDF consultants Mulana Mohammad Rahim haqani  urged the Tribal elders ulema and political leaders  to spread awareness among the people About the anti polio vaccination  to protect  the children from the disease .

 “There is nothing harmful in polio vaccine and its is the responsibility of the ulema , elders and politician to eliminate  misconceptions about the vaccination,”, Mulana Mohammad Rahim Haqani said .

  He said that senior ulema and religious scholars of the country have declares polio vaccination according to Islamic shariat. Adding that “All the ulema of the country agreed that there is nothing un

Islamic  in the polio drops,”On this occasion  note able elders Ulema and political figures  including Molana Mohammad Idress , Chief khatib Bajaur, Molana Mohammad Shakoor Khatib  Khar ,

Mian Masood jan , Malik Attullah khan, Sheikh Jan zada and others addressed the

seminar. They said we have always supports anti polio campaign because “ we know that polio disease is a  serious  threats for our children lives   .”   They said.

They  said that  we will supports with the health staff in the  anti

polio drive and no one would be allowed  to disturbed  the campaign  anywhere in the agency.
